Norval Foundation presents a solo exhibition of works by Cinga Samson. Titled ‘Ukhe nje wasondela ndakuphosa kulo mlambo’, which translates to ‘If you come close, I’ll throw you into the river’, the exhibition features 20 paintings produced between 2015 and 2023.

With a focus on still life, portraiture and landscape, the exhibition invites the viewer to reflect on questions of seeing and being through the artist’s distinct figurative skill, palette and application of oil on canvas.
