Beaverbrook Art Gallery presents Christian Marclay’s The Clock (2010) from November 2026 to February 2027.

The 24-hour, single-channel video is composed of thousands of edited fragments taken from a vast range of film and television clips depicting clocks and references to time. While The Clock examines how time, plot and duration are depicted in cinema, it is also a working timepiece that is synchronised to the local time zone. At any moment, the viewer can look at the work and use it to register the time.
