White Cube is pleased to present ‘The Newspaper Ecritures, 2022–23’, an exhibition showcasing the final body of work by the late master of Dansaekhwa, Park Seo-Bo. Completed shortly before his passing in 2023 at the age of 91, the works in this exhibition stand as a culmination of the artist’s lifelong creative practice – one profoundly influenced by Daoist and Buddhist philosophies and driven by the radical pursuit of emptiness.

Celebrating the life and career of a leading voice of Arab-American culture, this presentation showcases works from the last 20 years of the artist’s practice, including a large-scale ceramic work, tapestries, paintings, works on paper and leporellos - folded books that extend to several metres in length.

David Altmejd
12 March – 19 April 2025
In March 2025, David Altmejd (b.1974, Montréal, Canada) will present a new series of sculptures at White Cube New York.
Altmejd’s work is a unique and heady mix of science and magic, science fiction and gothic romanticism: a post-apocalyptic vision which is at the same time essentially optimistic, containing as it always does the potential for regeneration, evolution and invention.
