A solo exhibition of drawings by Georg Baselitz at The Morgan Library & Museum, co-organized with the Albertina Museum, Vienna, covers the span of the artist’s entire career. Beginning with the iconic ‘Heroes’ figures and fractured drawings of the mid-1960s and progressing to landscape studies from the 1970s, after Baselitz began turning his images upside-down, the exhibition culminates in recent works in which the artist revisits earlier themes.
