‘Baselitz AVANT!’ opens at Museo Novecento in Florence this spring. Taking place across three floors of the museum, the exhibition offers a comprehensive view of Baselitz’s career, whilst foregrounding his printmaking practice.

The presentation features around 170 works, including prints, paintings, and sculptures. Featuring the artist’s characteristic inversion of images, ‘Baselitz AVANT!’ also highlights his connection with Florence, where he lived in 1965 after winning the Villa Romana Prize.
