A solo survey of George Baselitz goes on view at Guggenheim Bilbao. The show comprises of 68 paintings, drawings and sketches from the 'Heroes' and 'New Types' series – some shown for the first time. Created in 1965-66, the ‘Heroes’ series is regarded as a key example of German art in the 1960s.

The touring exhibition is organised by the Städel Museum in collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
