‘Richard Hunt: From Paper to Metal’ opens at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art this October. Drawing from the museum’s holdings, the exhibition features prints produced by Hunt at the Tamarind Lithography Workshop during a residency in 1965, along with a newly-acquired welded chromed steel sculpture titled Natural Form (1968), created in Hunt’s signature direct-metal technique.

Showcasing 25 never-before-seen lithographs from the museum’s collection, ‘Richard Hunt: From Paper to Metal’ highlights the late artist’s unique approach to creating flat, two-dimensional prints that allude to his sculptural processes and fascination with preternatural skeletal forms.
