Minoru Nomata joins White Cube

White Cube is pleased to announce representation of Minoru Nomata. The artist’s first solo exhibition in Greater China at White Cube Hong Kong runs from 8 September to 13 November 2021.

Born in Tokyo in 1955, over the past four decades Nomata has developed a lexicon of imaginary architectonic and topographical forms to create paintings that transcend specifics of time and place. Characterised by a lack of human presence, the artist’s visionary works combine the familiar with the mysterious and the heroic with the haunting.
