This spring, Christian Marclay presents ‘Cidades’ (‘Cities’) at MAAT in Lisbon. The exhibition addresses themes relating to urban culture, presenting a selection of works in which the city, the street and everyday life are transformed into spaces charged with visual and sound signals.

Spanning several spaces in the MAAT gallery, the exhibition brings together around 15 works – including video installations, photographic series, collages, and publications –from 1978 to 2026, two of which have not previously been exhibited publicly. The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of performances.
