Cai Guo-Qiang presents a solo exhibition titled ‘Radiance of Spring’ at Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. Part of the 2026 Normandie Impressionniste Festival, the exhibition is curated by Philippe Platel. ‘Radiance of Spring’ features a new series of gunpowder paintings inspired by Monet's garden in Giverny, created by Cai in dialogue with the iconic architecture of the abbey and the landscape of Normandy.

Marking the centenary of Claude Monet’s passing, this year’s festival invites artists to respond to the legacy of the painter and his artistic enquiries into perception, time and nature.
