Antony Gormley will present his large-scale installation Time Horizon at Houghton Hall from April to October 2024. Comprising 100 life-size cast iron bodies, Time Horizon will be shown across Houghton Hall’s house and grounds, marking the first time the installation has been staged in the UK since it was last installed in Catanzaro, Italy, in 2006.

Each figure in Time Horizon will be installed at the same datum level, creating a horizontal plane across Houghton Hall’s 200 acres of parkland. The installation will interact with its surroundings of trees, animals and other sculptures, as well as the changing weather conditions as the seasons turn from spring to autumn.
