In this film, Anselm Kiefer discusses his work in the Kiefer and Rembrandt exhibition at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Kiefer discusses the themes behind his large-scale vitrine sculpture and his responses to Rembrandt's Night Watch painting. He also discusses his 40 year relationship with the work of Van Gogh, and, in particular, to Van Gogh's painting La Berceuse.
