Anselm Kiefer in ‘The Walk of Modern Art’

17 May - 20 May 2024

Salzburg, Austria

Two works by Anselm Kiefer will feature in this year’s ‘Walk of Modern Art’ in Salzburg, Austria. Opening the walk, the artist’s multimedia installation A.E.I.O.U (2002) will be situated in Furtwänglerpark, opposite the Festival Halls, while his 1989 bronze sculpture The Language of the Birds will conclude the walk in the courtyard of Salzburg’s parliamentary building, Chiemseehof.

The ‘Walk of Modern Art’ brings together 14 sculptures by internationally renowned artists, placed within walking distance of each other throughout the city’s central area, guiding visitors to some of Salzburg’s most beautiful and hidden sites.

Initiated and implemented by the Salzburg Foundation, since 2013, the Würth Collection has generously made the works of the ‘Walk of Modern Art’ available on permanent loan to the City of Salzburg.
