White Cube raises funds for Hope and Homes for Children and ClientEarth at annual Frieze Week fundraiser

Posted:

On the evening of Wednesday 14 October 2026, White Cube Founder and Chairman Jay Jopling and his wife, Hikari Yokoyama, held their annual fundraising event in aid of Hope and Homes for Children and ClientEarth at their private residence in London during Frieze Week 2026. The event raised over £450,000 of vital funds for the two international charities.

Hope and Homes for Children works to end the institutional care of children worldwide – closing orphanages, reuniting families and ensuring every child has the chance to grow up with the love and safety of a family, free from the trauma, abuse and neglect of an orphanage.

ClientEarth is an environmental charity that uses the law to tackle the climate crisis and drive systemic changes to protect the planet. Working across Europe, Asia and the USA, ClientEarth seeks to shape, implement and enforce the law, helping to build a future in which people and nature can thrive together.

To support the cause and raise funds, 15 artworks were generously donated by artists Gabriel Orozco and Firenze Lai, whose London exhibitions are currently on view at White Cube Bermondsey and Mason’s Yard respectively, and Ilana Savdie, whose dedicated booth at Frieze London 2026 features her works in dialogue with Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Leonor Fini, Nancy Grossman, Richard Hunt and Gustav Klimt, among others. Proceeds from the evening were split equally between the two charitable organisations.

Jay Jopling (Founder and Chairman, White Cube) said:

Our annual Frieze Week fundraiser is an important initiative that is very close to my heart. Hope and Homes for Children and ClientEarth endeavour to protect what can never be replaced: a child's family, and the planet that future generations will inherit. For more than a decade, and with the generous support of artists like Firenze Lai, Gabriel Orozco and Ilana Savdie, who have kindly donated works this year, Hikari and I have been proud to help raise millions of pounds to support these two charities, whose work is more critical now than ever.
