Tracey Emin installation at Kestner Gesellschaft

Tracey Emin’s neon work Its different when you Are in Love (2016) is on loan at the Kestner Gesellschaft building in Hanover, Germany. The installation will adorn the museum’s facade from early November 2023 to February 2024.

The artist began creating her neon works in the 1990s, each bearing her recognisable slanted handwriting. Elevating her fleeting thoughts and feelings as aphorisms, the neons impart haunting and existential messages intended for strangers.
