The Hummingbird Paints Fragrant Songs, a new documentary on Sara Flores, will have its world premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, as part of the TIFF Docs programme.

Directed by Èlia Gasull Balada and Matteo Norzi, the film follows Flores as she gains international recognition, moving between the global art world and her home in the Peruvian Amazon. As TIFF Docs programmer Thom Powers notes, ‘One of the amazing things about this film is to see these contrasts in the worlds that she moves in.’
