The US premiere of The Hummingbird Paints Fragrant Songs, a new documentary on Sara Flores, will take place as part of this year’s DOC NYC film festival.

Directed by Èlia Gasull Balada and Matteo Norzi, the film follows Flores as she gains international recognition, moving between the global art world and her home in the Peruvian Amazon.

The screening at SVA Theatre will be followed by a Q&A with Flores and the directors.

The film will also be available to stream online via DOC NYC from 12 – 29 November 2026.
