PARKSEOBO Museum presents ‘Park Seo-Bo & Huong Dodinh: Emptiness Fullness’ as its inaugural exhibition. The two-person exhibition places the work of Park Seo-Bo (1931–2023), a leading figure in Koren contemporary art, in dialogue with Vietnamese artist Huong Dodinh (b.1945).

Pairing Park’s repeated lines with Dodinh’s layered fields of colour, ‘Emptiness Fullness’ considers how both artists use reduction, repetition and restraint to create works with seemingly emptied surfaces that acquire a quiet sense of fullness. Placed alongside the work of Huong Dodinh, Park Seo-Bo’s work is newly read as an artistic practice that transcends the boundaries of culture and geography in its pursuit of the essence of painting.

Located next to the PARKSEOBO Foundation in Seoul, the Museum is founded upon the legacy of Park Seo-Bo, who is widely considered one of the leading figures in contemporary Korean art.
