Julie Curtiss and Ilana Savdie are among seven world-renowned artists who have been selected to create monumental, site-specific artworks for JFK’s New Terminal One. The commissions will anchor the new terminal’s cultural programme, celebrating the history, culture and diversity of New York and the airport’s home borough of Queens.

Curated by Culture Corps, the public art programme at the New Terminal One will feature the work of Kelly Akashi, Firelei Báez, Julie Curtiss, Woody De Othello, Tomás Saraceno, Ilana Savdie and Yinka Shonibare.

The New Terminal One will open in phases beginning in 2026 and when complete in 2030, it will be the largest terminal at JFK.

The cultural programme in JFK’s New Terminal One is led by Arup in collaboration with Pentagram, lead curator Culture Corps, Gentilhomme, Karlssonwilker, We Should Do It All, and a cohort of renowned artists and studios.
