The MAB (Museu de Arte da Bahia) presents ‘Beatriz Milhazes: 100 Sóis’ (100 Suns), marking the artist’s first solo exhibition in Salvador.

Spanning three decades of Milhazes’s practice, the exhibition brings together historical paintings, recent collages and previously unseen works. It highlights how each medium informs the artist’s ongoing visual research, with painting – her primary studio practice – at its core.

As part of the exhibition, Milhazes presents a new stained-glass installation conceived for the museum’s windows. Featuring her signature use of pattern, the work is composed of multicoloured translucent film that filters sunlight, casting kaleidoscopic beams throughout the galleries.
