White Cube presents its first presentation of paintings by Theaster Gates in Paris, following the artist’s major solo exhibition of sculpture, film and installation at Palais de Tokyo in 2019.
Ever expanding his interest in painting as sculpture, Gates offers a body of work that extends both media and sets a new course for his practice at the nexus of experimentation and formalism.
