A solo exhibition of works by Virginia Overton opens at Kunstmuseum Winterthur this September. Titled ‘Material Girl’, the exhibition will be on view in the museum’s Beim Stadthaus venue.

The exhibition’s title references Overton's engagement with materials, often pushing them to their physical limit. Employing everyday, elemental materials such as wooden planks, beams, metal, mud, sheetrock and brick, the artist creates site-specific sculptures and installations that re-activate the viewer’s spatial and sensory experience.
