Theaster Gates transforms the main galleries of Walker Art Center into a Gesamtkunstwerk, or ‘total work of art’. Renowned for his sculptures, installations, performance works and architectural interventions, the exhibition brings a number of Gates’s projects into a museum context for the first time.
