‘Raqib Shaw: Paradise Lost’ opens at the Art Institute of Chicago this summer, debuting Shaw’s most ambitious project to date. At over 100 feet wide, Shaw’s monumental Paradise Lost (2009-2025) spans 21 panels.

While the artist has previously exhibited the first chapter of Paradise Lost, this presentation marks the first time that all four chapters of the work have been displayed together, in its fullest form yet.

‘Raqib Shaw: Paradise Lost’ is curated by Dr Madhuvanti Ghose, Alsdorf Associate Curator of Indian, Southeast Asian, and Himalayan Art, Arts of Asia.

Event: Artist Conversation

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, the artist will be joined by Dr. Madhuvanti Ghose at the Art Institute to discuss Paradise Lost.
