Julie Mehretu exhibits 30 paintings and 40 works on paper as part of the major exhibition ‘Julie Mehretu. A Universal History of Everything and Nothing’ at Centro Botín.

Ranging from her earliest series’ of paintings and works on paper to her more recent large-scale works, the exhibition highlights the importance of calligraphy and pictorial elements in her practice over 20 years.

Organised in conjunction with the Serralves Foundation – Oporto Contemporary Art Museum, the works on display are drawn from the artist’s collection, alongside other public and private collections in Europe and the United States.
