Works by Franz Ackermann and Jeff Wall feature in Kunstmuseum Bonn’s exhibition ‘The Flâneur: From Impressionism to the Present’. Drawing from the 19^th century literary trope of the flâneur, which carried associations of a man of leisure or an idler, the exhibition seeks to examine both the history and the renewed relevance of this figure.

Spanning a period of over 100 years, the show looks at works from a variety of movements and styles, from Impressionism, Expressionism and New Objectivity, to contemporary performance and film.
