Vienna

‘Forms through folds (ascending)...’ is a large-scale site-specific sculpture by British artist Cerith Wyn Evans, conceived specifically with Karlskirche Contemporary Arts in Vienna. Measuring 25 by 15 metres and featuring neon tubes with a total length of almost 700 metres, it is one of the largest works ever produced by Evans. Over 14 kilometres of wire and 1.5 kilometres of cable was installed to position the 350 individual forms and supply them with power.

Weighing over a tonne, the installation is suspended from the lantern above the cupola and unfolds over almost the entire dome space of Karlskirche.
