Sydney

The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) presents ‘Cerith Wyn Evans… in light of the visible’, a major solo exhibition by Cerith Wyn Evans, including a selection of works that have not previously been exhibited in Australia.

The exhibition brings together monumental light installations – including F=O=U=N=T=A=I=N (2020), which viewers are invited to walk through – alongside sound sculptures such as Composition for 37 Flutes (2018), where glass pipes inhale and exhale sound into the gallery space.

Visitors are encouraged to reflect on their movement through space and time, experiencing the exhibition as one might wander through a garden.

The exhibition follows ‘Borrowed Light Through Metz’, presented at the Centre Pompidou-Metz (1 November 2024 – 14 April 2025).
