White Cube Imprint

An award-winning publishing programme, the White Cube Imprint is devoted to the intersection of the artistic and the scholarly. Publishing just a handful of new titles every year, the Imprint develops each of its unique projects in close collaboration with the gallery’s artists and estates.

Featuring contributions from leading art historians, thinkers and writers, the Imprint’s titles are conceived as both a response to a cultural moment and a lasting record of an artist’s work. Publications range from monographs and exhibition catalogues to artist books and critical anthologies, alongside co-publications developed in partnership with major museums and institutions worldwide. Celebrating White Cube’s critically engaged, artist-focused mission is Companion, the Imprint’s annual reader, which gathers voices from across contemporary art and discourse.

White Cube Bookshop

Since opening in 2011 at White Cube Bermondsey, the Bookshop has become a popular destination for the art lover and the literary. Designed by architects Casper Mueller Kneer, the Bookshop extends the vision of the gallery and is home to an array of writing on contemporary art, critical theory and experimental literature, alongside a changing selection of titles in dialogue with each exhibition. It is the primary stockist for White Cube Imprint titles, including Rare and Signed books, and operates as a dedicated viewing space for White Cube’s Prints and Multiples. A selection of publications are available from the gallery’s spaces in Hong Kong, New York and Paris.
