A major solo exhibition of work by Cerith Wyn Evans will open at Mostyn, Llandudno, Wales, this October. A cross-section of sculptural, installation, light, sound and moving image works by the artist will respond to the site through a ‘controlled randomness’, using the gallery space as a catalyst for cognitive and sensory exploration. Evans’s work is derived from a plethora of influences including film, music, literature and philosophy. The exhibition will situate his intricate neon sculptures alongside sound works, vibration works and transparencies, producing a thread of questions concerning art, perception and communication.
