Ibrahim Mahama has been honoured with a Gold Award at the inaugural Art Basel Awards. He received the honour in the ‘Established Artist’ category, which was presented during the Art Basel Awards ceremony in Miami Beach.

Chosen by an international jury of experts, the Art Basel Awards are the first global honours dedicated to recognising and advancing excellence across the contemporary art world, celebrating visionaries from across the industry.
