Ibrahim Mahama is featured in the October 2025 issue of Artforum.

In Edna Bonhomme’s feature essay, she considers how Mahama’s works ‘compel their audiences to pay attention to both the objects Ghana produces and the cost of the feats of engineering and human labor required to do so’. The piece explores how Mahama’s work interrogates the entanglements of industrialisation, labour and decay in Ghana, while creating spaces for community-led cultural renewal across Tamale. Tina Rivers Ryan’s Editor’s Letter reflects on Mahama’s 2024 exhibition ‘A SPELL OF GOOD THINGS’ at White Cube New York, where a series of drawings and an installation drew together ideas of physical labour, post-colonial collapse and reclamation. (Read the Editor’s Letter here.)
