The Sonnabend Collection presents an exhibition of works by Gilbert & George at Palazzo della Ragione. Featuring eight pictures that have not previously been shown in Italy, the presentation highlights key moments in the artists’ expansive career, creating a dialogue between earlier and more recent works.

Gilbert & George’s relationship with the Sonnabend dates to 1971, when Singing Sculpture, the artists’ celebrated ‘living sculpture’, inaugurated the Sonnabend Gallery in New York. This marked the beginning of a relationship that has continued for more than half a century.
