‘Danh Vo presents Sister Corita’ at the Nivaagaard Collection

At Denmark’s Nivaagard Collection, Danh Vo has curated an exhibition of work by eclectic artist Corita Kent. Titled ‘Someday is now: Danh Vo presents Sister Corita’, the exhibition brings a selection of key 1960s works by Kent into dialogue with the museum’s collection. Often incorporating advertising graphics for consumer brands alongside religious texts, Kent ‘could pass her hands over the commonest of the everyday, the superficial, the oh-so-ordinary, and make it a vehicle of the luminous, the only, and the hope filled,’ as noted by her friend Harvey Cox.
