Imi Knoebel’s work is the subject of a retrospective exhibition at the Sammlung Goetz, charting the evolution of the artist’s unique form of non-objective art. From the black-and-white photographs of light projections from the 1960s, to the rarely exhibited ‘free form’ paintings of the 1980s, the exhibition includes the artist’s fibreboard forms, cast concrete works and most recent acrylic paintings on aluminium.
