White Cube New York presents a solo exhibition by Marguerite Humeau, following the artist’s touring museum exhibition ‘Torches’, which is currently on view at the Helsinki Art Museum.
Drawing from the intricate ecosystem of caves and their enveloping darkness, the artist debuts new sculptures and works on paper within an immersive installation.
‘Darkness becomes a presence that guides us towards new forms of cooperation, from a void to be conquered to a teacher of collective survival.’ – Marguerite Humeau, 2025

Monuments built by barely moving water, emphasising the power of the seemingly powerless, how the gentle forces, given time, carve chambers from solid rock., detail, 2025.
