‘Once again the world is flat.' is a solo show by Haim Steinbach, which includes key works from the artist's forty year career,the exhibition is programmed in collaboration with New York’s CCS Bard Hessel Museum of Art and the Serpentine Gallery in London. On display will be major new works, reconfigured historical installations and a number of grid-based paintings from the early 1970s.

The exhibition at Kunsthalle Zürich presents Haim Steinbach’s work from its beginnings to the present day with a particular focus on the development of his installations and large-format shelf arrangements.

As he did for his exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery in London and the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College, New York in 2013, Haim Steinbach will incorporate various works from local museums into his displays at Kunsthalle Zürich. Thanks to cooperation with the Kunsthaus Zürich, historical works from the latter’s collection, and possibly also from other museums, will feature in the artist’s installations and arrangements.
