White Cube at MAZE Art Gstaad 2026

White Cube returns to the Swiss Alps this February to participate in the third edition of MAZE Art Gstaad, presenting a selection of works by modern and contemporary artists including Josef Albers, Cai Guo-Qiang, Enrico David, Tracey Emin, and Park Seo-Bo, among others.

Booth highlights include:

Cai Guo-Qiang’s painting Mountain (2019). Made with the artist’s signature technique of igniting gunpowder directly on to the canvas, this work references Mont Sainte-Victoire, a limestone mountain range that was also the subject of Paul Cézanne’s paintings. It is part of Cai’s ongoing project ‘An Individual’s Journey Through Western Art History’.

A new neon work by Tracey Emin titled I Loved You Until the Morning (2025), ahead of the artist’s major retrospective 'A Second Life' opening at Tate Modern, London, on 27 February 2026. Tracing 40 years of her practice, the exhibition includes important early works alongside never-before-seen paintings.

Josef Albers’(1888–1976) Homage to the Square (1961). A painting from the artist’s seminal series of the same name exploring colour theory through geometric abstraction, which he begun in 1950 and continued until his death in 1976.

Assumption of we (2014–2025) by Enrico David. Presenting a figural mass in which multiple bodies rise from a shared base, this sculpture evolves from David’s 2014 work, Assumption of Weee. This new iteration continues the artist’s exploration of transformation and vulnerability. ‘Enrico David – I Am Back Tomorrow’ is currently on view at Castello di Rivoli in Italy, until 22 March 2026.

Park Seo-Bo's Ecriture No.991127 (1999), one of the late master of Daneseakwa and contemporary Korean art’s signature ‘Ecriture’ paintings. This series can be understood as a spiritual approach to ‘drawing' within painting, comprising gestural, repeated pencil lines incised into wet paint. A solo exhibition of the artist’s works will open at White Cube Paris from 15 April – 30 May 2026.
