Anselm Kiefer’s solo exhibition, ‘Photography at the Beginning’, opens at LaM this October. This exhibition is the first to take stock of Kiefer’s photographic practice, highlighting the essential role that it has played in the artist’s process throughout the course of his career.

Presenting over 130 works, the exhibition is divided into eight sections, tracing the evolution of photography in Kiefer’s work, spanning his early photographs from the 1960s to more recent photographs.
