Yoko Matsumoto’s touring exhibition, titled ‘The Day I Saw the Evening Star’, will travel to The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama this November.

Spanning 65 years of Matsumoto’s practice, the exhibition traces the development of her distinctive visual language, shaped by the lineages of Japanese art and the tenets of Western abstraction.

The exhibition was previously presented at Fuchu Museum, Tokyo, Japan (23 May – 12 July 2026), and Iwaki City Art Museum (12 September – 1 November 2026).
