A site-specific installation by Klára Hosnedlová opens at the New Museum in New York in early 2026. Commissioned for the Museum’s new Atrium Stair, the exhibition marks the artist’s first museum project in the US.

The installation takes the form of a sandstone and glass sculpture surrounded by a pelt-like form created from a flax-based textile and will feature the artist’s signature intricate embroideries. Drawing on Eastern Bloc architecture and craft traditions, the work reflects Hosnedlová’s ongoing interest in intersecting questions around labour, gender and historical memory.
