Jake Chapman will discuss the influence of Sidney Lumet’s film ‘The Offence’ with The Guardian’s art critic, Adrian Searle at City Screens, Notting Hill Gate on 20 May 2010.
This will be the first in a series of programmes organised by independent charity The Art Fund, in association with Picturehouse Cinemas, where invited artists discuss the significance of particular films on their art practice. A question and answer session will follow the screening of each film.
The Offence (1972) is a crime thriller starring Sean Connery as a police detective tormented by his past.
