Gabriel Orozco’s retrospective exhibition tours to the Kunstmuseum Basel this April. This major survey show spans the past twenty years of the artist’s career and displays his multi-disciplinary practice of installation, sculpture, photography, painting and drawing
Many of the works on display range from Orozco’s small sculptural works, where the artists explored the potential of everyday found materials like balls made of orange peel and modeling clay to the more ambitious scale installations that incorporate the bones of a whale or a re-scaled Citroën automobile.
The exhibition will travel to the Musée National d’art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris on 15 September 2010 and to Tate Modern, London from 19 January 2011.
