The Hastings Museum and Art Gallery are pleased to present an extensive retrospective of works from the early career of Jake and Dinos Chapman.
On show will be the complete portfolio of etchings from the ‘Gigantic Fun’ series and also some of their early animal sculptures.
In the Long Gallery, a selection of the Chapman’s portrait paintings from the series ‘One Day You Will No Longer Be loved’ will be on view, amongst the larger portraiture display of the museum’s permanent collection. In this series, the brothers have altered anonymous aristocratic portraits from the 18th and 19th centuries with deformed and morbid characteristics.
