The Kunstmuseum Bonn is pleased to present an exciting new body of work by Bavarian artist Franz Ackermann.
Ackermann has specifically developed a painting and drawing installation that spans six separate rooms of the museum space. The different themes begin sequentially with a ‘tropical terminal’ in the museum’s main exhibition room, where a painted mural runs through the five consecutive gallery rooms.
Ackermann has incorporated sound installations, videos and the Internet to create a space in which the viewer not only enjoys the bright colours of the paintings and drawings, but also considers themes of globalization and travel.
A catalogue printed in both English and German and featuring texts by curator Stefan Gronert and Stephan Berg, accompanies the exhibition.
