As part of the eleventh biennial and ‘Sculpture in the Close’ series, works by Antony Gormley, Anselm Kiefer and Antony Caro will be installed in the grounds of Jesus College.
Gormley’s work will feature an exciting new installation, using cast iron and fibre glass; 19 figures will be located intermittently in passages, courts and on the roofs of the college. Kiefer will be exhibiting five new sculptures as part of his ‘Women of Antiquity’ series, a selection of ’Für Chlebnikov’ works and his renowned lead books. Caro will be exhibiting with ‘Babylon’, a large tripartite work with ziggurat-like elements, as well as three powerfully minimalist works from the 1970s.
