From 21 November, German artist Andreas Gursky will present his first Australian exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. Comprising of 21 major pieces, for which Gursky is internationally acclaimed, these large scale and yet pin sharp photographs comment on our modern experience of life in a globalised and fast-paced consumerist world. The exhibition will display seminal works from 1989 to 2007, including ‘Tokyo Stock Exchange’ (1990) and ‘99 cent store’ (2001).
Organised by the Haus der Kunst in Munich, this will be the only Australian venue for this show.
