With typical wit and humour, Jake and Dinos Chapman created this limited-edition print to coincide with the presentation of their exhibition, ‘Works from the Chapman Family Collection’, at White Cube, Hoxton Square in 2002. In examining globalization, and specifically the Americanization of British culture, they play with the concepts of originality and history by claiming that the happy meal box depicted dates “back to the Yppah Laem district of Camgib, depicting what is believed to be the original packaging template for local delicacies, as diverse as ‘fizzy drinks’ and ‘fried potato’.”
