This edition celebrates an event on the 29th of May 2008 in Yokohama, Japan when 482 people came together to spontaneously make an image of a human being as an act of collective conscience in support of those around the world without a voice.
The project sought to highlight the plight of people living in poverty around the world and coincided with TICAD (Tokyo International Conference for African Development), which informed the agenda of the G8 summit held in Japan from 6 - 8 July this year.
One For All was a collaboration between Gormley and Comic Relief. All profits from the sale of these 100 etches will be donated to the charity. Comic Relief estimates that after costs, £930 from each sale will go to help some of the most vulnerable people around the world. Comic Relief is registered with the Charity Commission number 326568.
