White Cube is pleased to offer a range of Production Stills from Gregory Crewdson's most recent group of photographs, 32 pictures that conclude his series Beneath the Roses.
The Production Stills provide an insight into the extraordinary amount of planning and the level of detail that goes into the making of each photograph. From the elaborate lighting of the set to Crewdson’s direction of his cast, the scale of these works is revealed by the photographs taken behind the scenes. While the Stills have a documentary purpose, and tell us a lot about how Crewdson makes his pictures, they also have a mystery and beauty all of their own.
